Daughter of police chief pleads not guilty to 3 felony counts


St. Louis – The daughter of St. Louis Police Chief Joe Mokwa remains jailed after pleading not guilty Thursday to three felony charges in Warren County.

Aimie Mokwa, 32, of Wright City was charged with stealing a credit card, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

Officials say Aimie Mokwa was arrested with a boyfriend during an investigation into thefts from the home of her mother and step-father, of Marthasville.

The missing items allegedly included a credit card and several rare coins and antique jewelry valued at more than $6,000.

Joe Mokwa said his daughter is "troubled."
