St. Louis, MO – The 32-year-old daughter of St. Louis' police chief is charged with three felonies after being arrested earlier this week.

Aimie Mokwa of Wright City is in the Warren County Jail on charges of stealing a credit card, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

Chief Joe Mokwa acknowledges that his daughter is "troubled," adding the investigation started over allegations of theft at his ex-wife's home.

Officials say Aimie Mokwa was arrested Monday with a man police described as a boyfriend during an investigation into thefts from family members.

Authorities say Aimie Mokwa's nine-year-old daughter was with her when she was arrested. Court documents indicate she also was charged with domestic assault and resisting or interfering with an arrest, both misdemeanors. It wasn't immediately clear if those charges were in connection with the other charges.
