Jefferson City, MO – Democrats have chosen a new leader in the Missouri House.

Paul LeVota of Independence was chosen this weekend as the new House minority leader. He replaces Jeff Harris of Columbia, who stepped down from the leadership post to focus on a run for Attorney General.

LeVota previously served as assistant House minority leader. The party also chose J.C. Kuessner of Eminence to take over as their assistant leader.

Republicans hold a 91-70 advantage in the House with two vacancies.
