UM administrator named chancellor of Minnesota school

Lehmkuhle has degrees from Wright State University in Ohio and Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Minneapolis, MN – A top administrator in the University of Missouri system has been named as the first chancellor for the University of Minnesota-Rochester.

The university appointed Stephen Lehmkuhle, who has been UM's senior vice president for academic affairs since 2004.

In 2005, Lehmkuhle served for eight months as interim chancellor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

As chancellor in Minnesota, Lehmkuhle will oversee a major expansion of the school's presence the community. Regents are expected to approve his appointment at September 7 meeting.
