Springfield, IL. – Governor Rod Blagojevich blasted Illinois lawmakers again today for not backing his plans for a multi-million-dollar expansion of health care.
Blagojevich accused legislators of caring more about pleasing lobbyists than about serving the needs of their constituents.
The Democratic governor is moving forward with his plan to expand health care by about $460 million without approval from lawmakers.
Blagojevich outlined a health care project for sick or injured young adults in Chicago today.
The All Kids Bridge program will provide coverage for people ages 19 through 21 at a cost of up to $20 million a year.
Blagojevich says he'll come up with the money by cutting wasteful spending.
