St. Charles again keeps fireworks issue from voters

By AP/KWMU

St. Charles, Mo. – Fireworks are still out in St. Charles City.

The city council Tuesday night voted down a proposal that would have let voters decide whether to ban the use and sale of fireworks. It would have gone on next April's ballot.

The 5-5 vote was third time in four years the council has refused to let voters consider the fireworks issue.
