St. Louis, MO – Charlie is back in his Chesterfield home.

He was found unhurt on Wednesday, a little muddier than when he was last seen nine days ago from the pet center where he lives.

He might have made it a little farther, except that Charlie is a 70-pound tortoise.

Petropolis is better known as a center that offers boarding for dogs and cats.

A couple from Troy, Mo. spotted Charlie from a passing car. They'll get a $1,000 reward offered for Charlie's safe return.
