Two suspects in custody in tip jar case

St. Louis, MO. – The two suspects are in custody in the death of a man who gave chase when a tip jar at Starbucks was stolen.

The incident happened Monday in Crestwood. Authorities say 54-year-old Roger Kreutz went to the parking lot to try and stop the thieves.

He was struck by the getaway car and died yesterday at a hospital.

The suspects drove away, prompting a massive manhunt.

Formal charges have not been filed and names were not released. Tips led to the arrests of the suspects in St. Louis.

Starbucks and an anonymous donor each contributed $10,000 to a reward fund.

Authorities believe the suspects got away with about $5.
