St. Louis, MO. – Senator John McCain was critical Tuesday of proposals by Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton to use pressure tactics to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The Arizona senator says that could undermine U.S. trade relationships with other nations.
The Republican presidential candidate was in the St. Louis suburbs Tuesday.
He addressed a town hall meeting at Savvis Incorporated, an information technology company.
McCain also defended his work refereeing a bidding fight between a European plane maker that beat Boeing to a $35 billion Air Force tanker contract.
