MODOT to close lanes of I-44 overnight

SAINT LOUIS, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes of Interstate 44 overnight to remove concrete barriers used to protect the interstate from rising floodwaters from the Meramec River.

Crews will close the two right lanes of eastbound I-44 from Antire Road to Route 141 starting at 8 pm tonight until 5 am tomorrow morning.

On Wednesday and Thursday, MODOT will remove the barriers from westbound I-44 from Route 141 to the Times Beach area. The right two lanes will be closed from 8:30 pm until 8 am.
