Gibbons returns to work in the Missouri Senate

By Marshall Griffin, KWMU

Jefferson City, MO – Missouri Senate President Pro-Tem Michael Gibbons (R, Kirkwood) has returned to the State Capitol, after undergoing prostate cancer surgery earlier this month.

He says he feels good and is glad to have the surgery behind him.

"I'm not quite at 100% yet, but I'm doing pretty well, and (I've received) good reports from the physician and the surgeon, so things look very well (and I'm) ready to get back in the swing of things," Gibbons said.

Gibbons added that he's been instructed by his doctors not to get overtired as he returns to his duties in the State Senate.

He is also running for Attorney General.
