Two charged in double homicide in north St. Louis


St. Louis – Two men have been charged in the shooting death of a business owner and one of his employees, and a third suspect is being questioned.

Police say 26-year-old Jerome Jones and Brian Mann, 22, opened fire Monday afternoon at Rock Bottom Wholesale in north St. Louis.

Jack Patel of Chesterfield and Barbara Abeln were killed, and a pregnant woman was injured in the leg.

The suspects have been charged with first-degree murder, robbery and armed criminal action.

Police are questioning a third suspect.
