St. Louis, MO – St. Louis will learn the name of it new schools superintendent tonight. The state-appointed board that oversees the school district will announce its choice during a meeting tonight.
The finalists are Kelvin Adams of the Recovery School District in New Orleans, Eric Becoats of Guilford County Schools in Greensboro, N.C., and Donnie Evans, a former superintendent in Providence, R.I.
The new superintendent will be the seventh to fill the position in the last five years.
The state took control of the district in June 2007 to try and turn around the district long troubled by budget problems and poor academic performance.
