Former St. Louis officer indicted in shooting outside bar

By KWMU

St. Louis, MO – A grand jury in Madison County has indicted a former St. Louis police officer on charges from a November shooting at a Pontoon Beach sports bar.

Twenty six-year-old Bryan Pour faces one charge of aggravated battery with a firearm. The Madison County prosecutor says an intoxicated Pour shot and wounded Granite City resident Jeff Bladdick when Bladdick came to break up a dispute involving Pour.

An attorney for Pour says the former officer shot Bladdick in self-defense, and that his client is eager to present his case in court. No trial date has been set. Pour is free on $10,000 bond.

The grand jury did not indict a Pontoon Beach police officer in the shooting of another St. Louis city policeman, 23-year-old Christopher Hantak. Hantak, along with another officer at the bar at the time, have also been removed from the St. Louis police force.
