Anheuser-Busch InBev cuts 1,400 jobs; most are in St. Louis area
St. Louis – Anheuser-Busch InBev said Monday it will cut its workforce by about 1,400 jobs, with 75 percent of the cuts at the St. Louis and suburban Sunset Hills offices.
St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay called it a "very painful day" for the people who are losing their jobs and for the people who depend on them.
The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment will offer Anheuser-Busch employees who are laid off help finding new jobs, going back to school or getting additional training. The agency will also help those who might want to start their own businesses.
