Victim kills would-be robber in Hazelwood

Hazelwood, Mo. – An alleged robber is dead after being shot by his victim in suburban St. Louis.
Hazelwood police say the robber approached the man on the street and showed a gun.
The victim gave up his wallet then pulled out a gun of his own. When the robber refused to drop his weapon, the victim pulled the trigger.
The incident happened at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.
