Three people struck by lightning in St. Louis County park

Normandy, MO – Three people are hospitalized after being struck by lightning at a park in north St. Louis County.

It happened Monday afternoon as a thunderstorm passed through the region.

Authorities say the victims were in a parking lot at St. Vincent County Park. All three are female, ages 22, 18 and 12. They are in stable condition.

The storm also caused part of a tree to fall in St. Louis' Forest Park, injuring two people in a parked car.
