Lambert to close drop off parking, driving lanes

St. Louis, MO – It's going to be more difficult to drop off passengers at Lambert Airport this summer.
The airport is going to repave the Terminal 1 roadway, closing driving lanes and half of the drop off parking spots. This means, as of tomorrow, only 20 spots will be open for people dropping off passengers.
Airport spokesman Jeff Lea says the project won't make things easier at Lambert, but the roadway hasn't been paved in 13 years.
"We're trying to improve the conditions of the roadway for motorists," said Lea. "And with that comes some inconvenience as far as either more congestion or working around the detours."
Lea says anyone taking a shuttle service to the airport will be dropped off at the terminal's lower level.
The roadway will be finished in late August.
