"Bodies" exhibit required to carry disclaimer

ST. LOUIS –
A Georgia exhibition company can go ahead with plans to display plasticized bodies at the St. Louis Galleria after agreeing to post a disclaimer about the origin of the cadavers in the exhibit.
"Bodies The Exhibition" opens next month at the St. Louis Galleria shopping mall. It features human cadavers stripped of skin, preserved and posed in various lifelike positions.
Atlanta-based Premier Exhibitions and Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster reached an agreement Monday that requires Premier to publicly disclose that the bodies in the exhibit were previously the property of the Chinese police and that Premier "cannot independently verify the provenance of the human remains in this exhibit."
The requirement of disclosure comes after local politicians expressed concern that some of the bodies may be of political prisoners executed by the Chinese government.
