Avengers Stuntwoman And St. Louis-Area Native CC Ice Helps Superheroes Save The Universe On Screen

CC Ice credits her Midwest upbringing for helping her thrive as a stunt performer in an intense industry.
Evie Hemphill | St. Louis Public Radio

St. Louis-area native CC Ice has performed stunts in all sorts of big films and shows over the course of her career, appearing in everything from “The Hunger Games” to “The Punisher.” One of her most recent jobs was the film that’s on so many minds right now: “Avengers: Endgame.”

Ice was the stunt double for actress Elizabeth Olsen in “Infinity War,” and she’s also done stuntwork for other Avengers characters. St. Louis on the Air producer Evie Hemphill recently spoke with Ice after a long day on the set of another movie.

They discussed what Ice has enjoyed most about her work on the Marvel movies, how she manages to thrive in an intense and inherently risky profession – and how growing up in Missouri has influenced her life and career.
