Cats of St. Louis Public Radio may not make it to CAM video fest but they sure are cute

OK, we get it: publishing a video starring the cats of St. Louis Public Radio employees is completely self-indulgent. But with the Contemporary Art Museum offering its Internet Cat Video FestivalJuly 9-10, we figured we’d better pounce on the chance.

This is CAM's second annual event, which also includes a local cat video contest. You can vote for your favorite from July 3-7 on CAM’s Facebook page. The winner will be announced July 8.

In the spirit of this feline frenzy, some of us cajoled our cats with treats (which they loved) and kissing sounds (which they tolerated) as we snapped photos and shot video. While our final result might not break the internet or even become as famous asLOL Cats, we’ve at least given our precious kitties one more reason to feel superior.

Starring Billy, Coco, Dinner, Lunch, Max, Maxx, Misty, Mo, Sammy, Showme and Soxx (and Biffy, Kelly and Travis, in memoriam).

Katelyn Mae Petrin contributed (substantially) to editing the video in this piece.
