“We Live Here” has been one of St. Louis Public Radio’s most gripping and engaging projects of the last year, and the podcast now has a new co-host.
Kameel Stanley comes to St. Louis Public Radio by way the Tampa Bay Times, formerly the St. Petersburg Times, where she was a public safety and city hall reporter. Coming to St. Louis is a Midwestern homecoming of sorts, as she was born and raised in Michigan.
When she’s not trying to learn the St. Louisian pronunciations of street names (“We all know ‘Gravois’ should be pronounced Grav-wahh like the French, right?”), she writing for STLPR’s website as our Race and Cultural Reporter and podcasting on “We Live Here.”
