Officials at Lambert Airport are hoping to reopen the C Concourse in April - about one year after the concourse was severely damaged in a Good Friday tornado. The April date is consistent with the projected timeframe we reported in October.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that airport director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge told airport commissioners on Wednesday that restrooms in the concourse have been renovated and storm-damaged windows replaced.

Officials say storm repairs are being made in concert with planned terminal renovations, including new ceilings and lighting.

The EF-4 tornado on April 22 caused extensive damage, including breaking numerous windows in the main terminal building. The same tornado damaged hundreds of homes near the airport. No one was killed or seriously injured.
