MetroLink delays likely on Sunday due to station closures

MetroLink stations between the Stadium and 5th & Missouri stops will be closed Sunday morning due to work on overhead wires.

The St. Louis MetroLink will not operate trains between the Stadium and the 5th & Missouri MetroLink stations on Sunday morning because of work on the overhead wires.

Bus shuttles will transport passengers every 20 minutes to the stations located between the Stadium and 5th & Missouri MetroLink stations on Sunday until noon, with regular services resuming at noon on Sunday. Stations affected are the 8th & Pine, Convention Center, Arch-Laclede's Landing and East Riverfront stations.

Metro is advising customers traveling between Missouri and Illinois to allow an extra 20 to 30 minutes for their commutes on Sunday morning.

Here's more service details:

  • Red line service will operate between the Stadium and Lambert Airport Terminal #1 stations, and between the 5th & Missouri and Shiloh-Scott stations.
  • Individuals traveling between Illinois and Missouri will need to ride the bus shuttles between the Stadium and 5th & Missouri station, and then get back on the MetroLink.
  • No blue line service will be provided in Illinois on Sunday morning.
  • Blue line service will only operate between the Shrewsbury I-44 and Central West End stations.
