Information you can rely on is more essential than ever and the St. Louis Public Radio news team is working hard to deliver. Our top priority is to provide accurate and timely coverage of the local and regional COVID-19 response, along with national and global news from NPR, to help you make safer and smarter decisions. Here’s how you can stay informed as well as some changes we’re making to continue our public service without interruption.

How to stay informed:

  • Listen to our live, regional newscasts during Morning Edition and All Things Considered on 90.7 KWMU-1 or get your regional news update first thing every morning on-demand by listening to The Gateway podcast.
  • Read the news at any time on stlpublicradio.org, including the latest regional COVID-19 updates on our blog — Coronavirus in the St. Louis Region.
  • Listen to St. Louis on the Air live at noon or rebroadcast at 7 p.m. or on-demand anytime for in-depth interviews and discussion.
  • Listen live on Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. to COVID-19: Hard Questions, Real Answers where listeners from across the country can call in and ask medical and public health professionals questions about the spread and treatment of the novel coronavirus.
  • Listen live wherever you are, on the radio, online at stlpublicradio.org, through our station mobile app, or by asking your smart speaker to “play St. Louis Public Radio.”

Changes to our operations:

  • To keep our airwaves focused on the latest news, we are canceling the on-air Spring Member Campaign that was scheduled to take place from March 19 - 26.
  • We have canceled our annual fundraising gala, Talk Toast Taste, and are exploring ways to make aspects of the event virtual.
  • Effective immediately, all staff who are able will begin working remotely to protect the St. Louis Public Radio staff who are directly responsible for keeping the station on-air and providing our vital public service journalism to the region.

Today and every day our team of journalists is dedicated to holding the powerful to account and reporting the accurate and impartial information communities in Missouri and Illinois need to stay informed. That reporting is powered by listener donations. In fact, 90% of our total revenue comes directly from community support.
The cancellation of both our Spring Member Campaign and our annual fundraising gala will significantly impact our revenue as we seek to sustain both our local journalism and our broadcast of national news from NPR. Please continue to visit stlpublicradio.org to stay informed and make a donation of any amount to power our service at this critical time.
