The Rep stages conversation about race

Actors in David Mamet’s “Race” aren’t the only ones talking about race at the Rep this month. This Monday, the Rep hosts a free, one-night event using theater scenes to spark discussion about the issue.

Mustard Seed, Upstream and OnSite theater company actors will perform scenes from “Driving Miss Daisy,” “Blood Knot” and “Spinning into Butter,” with each scene followed by facilitated conversation. Panelists are KMOX’s Carole Daniel, YWCA director of racial justice Amy Hunter, Webster University arts and science Dean David Carl Wilson and the Beacon’s general manager Nicole Hudson Hollway.
