This interview will be on “St. Louis on the Air” at noon on Thursday. This story will be updated after the show. You can listen live.

Every month, we talk about the hottest new restaurants to open in the St. Louis area. But while that approach is a great way to meet newcomers, it tends to give short shrift to the places that consistently turn out excellent meals, day in and day out.

On Thursday’s St. Louis on the Air, we hope to remedy that. In a free-wheeling discussion with St. Louis Post-Dispatch food critic Ian Froeb, Riverfront Times food critic Cheryl Baehr and St. Louis Magazine dining editor George Mahe, we’ll discuss some terrific restaurants that are still keeping things fresh after a decade in business. And we’ll get these food writers’ picks for where they dine when they’re not on the job.

We welcome voicemail messages from listeners briefly describing their go-to local spots. Leave us a message about yours at 314-516-6397 and we just might include it in our conversation.
