It’s been a few months since our partners at Sauce Magazine joined us for a rundown of new food and drink establishments to check out in the area. A pandemic and the accompanying economic crisis have not been helpful to an already risky industry. But as restaurateurs figure out how to adjust to the times, they’re again starting to open new spots around town.
On Monday’s St. Louis on the Air, we reconnected with our friends at Sauce Magazine to hear what’s on their Hit List. Joining the conversation were art director Meera Nagarajan and managing editor Heather Hughes Huff.
The Sauce team discussed the following new openings:
- Perennial on Lockwood (216 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves)
- Cellar House (5634 Telegraph Road, Oakville)
- Barrio (740 DeMun Ave., Clayton)
- Chicken Out (6197 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis)
Read more about what each spot has to offer here. The pair also touched on the overall restaurant scene and the status of to-go cocktails in Missouri.
“St. Louis on the Air” brings you the stories of St. Louis and the people who live, work and create in our region. The show is hosted by Sarah Fenske and produced by Alex Heuer, Emily Woodbury, Evie Hemphill and Lara Hamdan. The audio engineer is Aaron Doerr.
