Jazz Unlimited for May 12, 2019, will present “Truth.”  Truth is a hard word to define because it can mean many things.  A statement is only true if it is backed up by verifiable facts and no fact can be left out.  Otherwise, the word truth is just another way of expressing wishful thinking.  We will present tunes with the word ‘truth” or “true” in them played by Count Basie, John Pizzarelli with Ray Kennedy, Paul Horn, Dave Grusin, Gerald Wilson, Benny Carter, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Brooks, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Buddy Rich, Lucky Thompson, Les McCann, Marcus Roberts, Duke Elling
