Washington, DC – The newest Fortune 500 list includes a dozen Missouri-based companies. The list will be in the Fortune magazine's April 14th issue.
St. Louis-based Emerson Electric is the largest publicly-held Missouri company, ranking 138th. Anheuser-Busch, May Department Stores, Express Scripts are not far behind, ranking 142nd and 144th and 147th.
The editors of Fortune magazine have compiled the list of the largest publicly held companies annually since 1955.
