St. Louis, MO – Students in Missouri and Illinois both improved scores on the ACT test this year.
Missouri students averaged 21.5 out of 36. That's above the national average of 20.9.
Illinois students averaged just under the national mark at 20.3. But Illinois is also one of just two states (the other is Colorado) to require all students to take the test.
