St. Louis – The five design team finalists in the Arch grounds competition will be in St. Louis this week.

The groups will tour the city and meet with technical advisers about the project.
Then on Wednesday night they'll take part in "Meet the Design Teams, "an event at the Roberts Orpheum Theater to be moderated by sportscaster Joe Buck.

City Arch River 2015 Foundation board member Walter Metcalfe said this will give the public a chance to meet the finalists, but the teams will not discuss their plans.

"This being a competition, they're not going to talk about their designs," Metcalfe said. "This is a competition between the five teams, and this will be talking about their philosophies and their past but not about their specific ideas for what will happen on the Arch and the river and connecting downtown."

The teams will have about three months to finalize their designs before they're made public mid August. The final jury pick will be announced September 24th.

The project is expected to be completed by October 2015.
