ST. LOUIS – U2 will have a gig in St. Louis next summer.

Top St. Louis Cardinals executives joined concert promoter and ticket-selling giant Live Nation in announcing that the popular rock band headed by frontman Bono will perform at Busch Stadium next July 17.

Tickets go on sale next Monday on www.livenation.com or on www.cardinals.com/U2, with the remaining tickets to be sold at the box office starting Nov. 9. Prices range from $32.50 to $252.50.

Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III has said it's the team's goal to have one big concert a year at Busch.

In 2008, the Black Crowes and Dave Matthews performed at the stadium. And the Eagles headlined a Busch concert with the Dixie Chicks on June 24 this year.
