Columbia, Mo. – Vice President Dick Cheney told a friendly auidence at a Columbia lumber company Monday that the nation's economy is on the re-bound.
Boone County Lumber is a family-owned company. Republicans say it's an example of a small business that's thriving because of Bush administration policies.
Cheney toured the showroom and plant, before speaking to about 350 people gathered by ticket only in the company warehouse.
He said tax cuts backed by the president helped get the economy moving again. Cheney also says Missouri, which President Bush narrowly carried four years ago, will be critical to the Republicans' fall strategy.
It was Cheney's sixth Missouri visit this year.
President Bush campaigns tomorrow afternoon in St. Charles County.
