St. Louis, Mo. – The attorney for the father of a missing
disabled boy says they have hired private investigators to develop leads in the case.

John Rogers, a criminal defense attorney, said at a press conference today that his client, Dawan Ferguson, has cooperated
fully with police and has provided them numerous statements.

Asked to explain why Ferguson was not at the press conference, he said he didn't want to expose him to reporters' questions. He inferred his client is grieving.

Ferguson says someone drove off with his parked SUV Wednesday morning with his son Christian in it.

Volunteers have joined police in searching for Christian. The nine-year-old boy - who is profoundly disabled - needs daily
medication to survive.

Police say it's doubtful the boy is alive.
