Jefferson City, MO – The federal government has approved more
than $8 million in loans and grants to those affected by this month's tornadoes and floods.
That includes grants for home repairs and medical and funeral expenses.
It also includes low-interest loans from the federal Small Business Administration.
More than 5,000 people in the 68 counties hit by the storms have applied for disaster relief. The application deadline
is July 7.
