St. Louis foodies, this one's for you.
Four local culinary names have been designated James Beard Award semifinalists, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.
For those of you unfamiliar with the James Beard Award, the Journal says Time magazine called it the "Oscars of the food world."
So who are the four local honorees? Alphabetically they are:
- Glenn Bardgett, wine director at Annie Gunn’s in Chesterfield
- Gerard Craft, Niche
- Kevin Nashan, Sidney Street Cafe
- Kevin Willmann, Farmhaus
Bardgett is up for the award for Outstanding Wine Service, while the other three are in contest for the "Best Chef in the Midwest" designation.
