St. Louis, MO – There was a fuel spill this morning (Tuesday) on U.S. 67 in Festus.
The highway closed at Victoria Road after a big-rig truck carrying paint and paint products overturned. About 200 gallons of fuel spilled.
There are no reports of injuries.
The Missouri Highway Patrol, the Jefferson County Sheriff and MO-DOT were on scene, and the Department of Natural Resources was notified about the spill. The accident was just south of Interstate 55 near Route CC.
Both directions of U.S. 67 were reopened after the morning rush hour.
