Homeless advocates seek answers about city spending

By AP/St. Louis Public Radio

St. Louis – With plans moving forward to fill in an old railroad tunnel in St. Louis, some of the homeless people who live there are seeking answers from the city.

Advocates say they submitted a Sunshine Law request for details on how the city spends federal money aimed at helping the homeless.

The move comes amid a dispute between homeless advocate Larry Rice and some residents of the tunnel, and the city.

Later this month, city officials plan to move everyone out of the tunnel and fill it in.
