St. Louis – St. Louis Judge Steven Ohmer says he could reach a decision as early as Friday in a case about whether Missouri's new concealed guns law violates the state constitution.
A lawsuit seeking to block the concealed guns law from taking effect Saturday claims, in part, that it violates a 128 year old clause in the Missouri constitution. A group of elected officials, mainly from the St. Louis area, filed the lawsuit after the state legislature voted in September to override Governor Bob Holden's veto of the concealed guns bill.
