St. Louis, MO – Missouri state regulators have rejected a program proposed by Laclede Gas Company to help low-income customers with their bills.
The "Catch-Up / Keep-Up" program would have allowed Laclede to divert some discounts that are currently passed on to all customers, to just those in the program.
The Public Service Commission says energy assistance is important, but Laclede's plan would have meant higher rates for other customers.
