Live Chat: St. Louis Public Radio & The Lens Discuss Lethal Injection Drug Controversy In Mo., La.

(via Wikimedia Commons/California Department of Corrections)

Thank you for joining us for the live chat, which has now concluded. The full archive of the chat is below.

The controversy surrounding the drug now used for executions in Missouri is not confined to the Show Me state. Louisiana is wrangling with a similar situation.

Missouri executed an inmate using the drug late Wednesday night, and Louisiana is scheduled to do so next week.

Join us this afternoon at 1 p.m. CT for a live chat with our Chris McDaniel, who has done extensive reporting on the topic in Missouri, and Della Hasselle, a reporter who has covered the issue for the New Orleans nonprofit news outlet The Lens.

We'll discuss these cases with Chris and Della, and we hope you'll bring your questions, thoughts and insights, too.
