St. Louis – A 31-year-old man from central Missouri has won the St. Louis marathon for the third time.
Karl Gilpin of Russellville, Mo. finished the 26.2 mile race Sunday with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes and 41 seconds. He also won the men's marathon in 2007 and 2008.
Julie Lossos won the women's marathon with a time of 2:52:31. She's also a repeat champion, having won the race previously in 2001.
