Marthasville Gets Its Mayor

Marthasville, Mo. – The Warren County town of Marthasville now has a mayor.

No one ran for the position earlier this month; David Lange wasn't sure he wanted the job after getting the most write-in votes. But now Lange says he will become mayor of the town and its 1,000 residents.

Lange is the former mayor, and until Tuesday he had been undecided. He got 13 write-in votes. The runner-up was current Mayor Clifford Byrd, with 12 votes.
