St. Louis, Mo. – The Metrolink light rail extension to Scott Air Force Base in southwestern Illinois will open on June 23rd.
Metro announced the opening date of the Shiloh-Scott light rail station today, saying that it will give the members of the military who are stationed at Scott access to travel throughout the region.
The new station will extend the Metrolink line to more than 21 miles in St. Clair County. The light rail system stretches 17 miles in Missouri.
