St. Louis, MO – Metro officials are proposing a reduction in the frequency of the light rail train stops...and the elimination of some bus routes in Illinois. Weekday peak hour Metrolink service would drop from 7-and-a-half minutes between trains...to 10 minutes, under the proposal. In addition, service on the far eastern end of the Metrolink system would drop from every 10 minutes to every 20 minutes...between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The changes must still be approved by Metro's Board of Commissioners. A series of public hearings will be held on the changes.
