Jefferson City, MO – Most Missouri government employees would get a pay raise in July under a proposed state budget.
Because of state financial troubles, most government workers have gone more than two years without a raise.
The budget offered Wednesday by legislative conferees would give a $600 annual raise to all employees who make less than $40,000 a year.
The plan would effect about 48,000 people.
