Police Find Human Hands, Feet in Trash Near Highway

By AP/KWMU

Warrenton, Mo. – The St. Louis Area Major Case Squad and the FBI are investigating a gruesome discovery, human hands and feet in a trash bag.

The body parts were found Monday a few miles from the Interstate 70 rest stop where a headless, limbless torso was discovered three weeks ago.

Authorities are trying to determine if the body parts are from the same female victim whose torso was found at the rest area near Wright City in eastern Missouri.

The victim has not been identified. No arrests have been made.

Warren County Sheriff Mike Baker said a garbage collector had just picked up a bag from a rural trash bin shared by a home and an office park.

While compacting the bag, a decomposed human hand popped through. Police found the other hand and two feet.
