Program alert: 'Flyover' to begin airing September 10

Beginning September 10, St. Louis Public Radio will bring you Flyover, a new series from MPR News. The program will be hosted by Kerri Miller, former host of Indivisible, and will include 12 weekly episodes airing Sundays from 3 to 4 pm.

Flyover is a national call-in show focused on issues of American identity and the changing American dream as they are lived and experienced in the cities, towns, and rural areas that lie beyond the media spotlights in New York, D.C., and L.A. It will feature candid conversations full of life experiences and viewpoints from people across the aisle and between the coasts.

Award-winning MPR host Kerri Miller grounds each week's topic in a specific place, inviting a public radio journalist from a partner station to discuss how the week's topic is playing out on the ground where they live and work. Some of the nation's top thinkers will join in to address the topic in a broader context. Throughout the show, Kerri will hear from listeners around the country for perspectives that transcend the daily news feed and root the topic in genuine experience.

During these 12 weeks - when Congress returns to Washington, the Supreme Court reconvenes, and kids go back to school - this program will delve into questions that animate debate in our country. And at a point when we are increasingly divided by geography, politics, religion, and identity, the time is right for these discussions.
