Jefferson City, Mo. – Missouri utility regulators are looking into whether people are getting quality service from their local telephone companies.
The Public Service Commission opened a review this past week after getting an increasing number of customer complaints about landline service.
The review will try to determine if the reported problems are isolated incidents or indicate a systemic deterioration across phone lines in large parts of the state.
Local telephone companies have been given until Nov. 1 to respond to a series of questions.
The public can also submit comments to the PSC.
